"Hey Gemi, Mini?" Lucy ask meekly, hiding under her duvet after opening Gemini's gate.
"Lucy! At your service, how are you?" the two spirits danced, then stopped realising she had something serious to ask of them.
It was a normal Wednesday night at Lucy's home, Natsu hadn't visited for weeks and she was really beginning to miss the goof.
"I need you to change into Natsu." she whispered, the two spirits looked at each other than grinned before morphing into the dragon slayer Natsu. Lucy opened her duvet cover so that fake Natsu could jump into bed with her than wrapped her hands around him. "It doesn't feel right." she sighed but didn't dare retract her arms. Lucy's bedroom door burst open and in came a loud boisterous Natsu. Lucy jumped up with fake Natsu, when the spirits realised what was happening they disappeared as quickly as possible. Lucy begged the heavens that Natsu didn't notice the fake Natsu. Natsu stared, mouth agape at where the fake Natsu disappeared, then his eyes flicked back and forth.
"I was just- Lucy?" Lucy blushed crimson red and as much as she wanted to scream, yell and kick him away, knocking out that memory she couldn't. She wanted him to know how she felt even if she wasn't gonna say it out loud so she laid back down on her side and closed her eyes, trying to forget he was in the same room. Lucy heard footsteps coming closer to her and the familiar smell was strong behind her, she couldn't help but feel giddy. She had missed it so much, but she didn't dare to move an inch. Natsu sat down on the bed next to her and sighed.
"If you wanted to hang out with me so much you didn't have to make." he gave a small awkward laugh at the end to try lighten the mood but Lucy stayed quiet, her heart beating nervously against her chest. Lucy was used to be close to Natsu, he'd slept in her bed and saved her countless of times, he'd seen her naked a few times too but this was different. It was... a different air. Natsu began to lay down and Lucy quickly changed sides and stared right at him.
"What do you think you're doing?" she demanded, blushing red.
Natsu laughed and his hand instinctively went up to scratch the back of his neck. "Just sleepy is all." like it was no big deal.
Lucy didn't say anything and carefully watched Natsu lay down, facing up. "Why did you make a fake me Lucy?"
Lucy didn't know how to reply but she was tired and sad that she hadn't seen him for so long, so she said the truth.
"I missed you."
"What were you doing with me?" he wouldn't dare look at her and Lucy swore she saw him blush.
"I was hugging you." she replied, for some reason she was gaining confidence. Maybe it was because she was getting a reaction out of Natsu which wasn't all just... 'friendly'. Natsu turned to face Lucy and they stared at each other, daring each other to break eye contact first, which Lucy finally did when she looked down nervously. Natsu's eyes followed hers and he licked his lips hungrily. Lucy was shocked at his reaction, "AH GEE! THIS IS TOO AWKWARD!" she yelled sitting up, Natsu also sat up. "Look I've got heaps to do so just get out!" she said in her usual joking manner but with obvious embarrassment of the whole situation. Natsu didn't reply how he usually did, with a laugh and a dismissive comment. He got out of the bed and started heading out. Lucy, scared jumped out and ran after him, she didn't want him to go so soon. Lucy grabbed Natsu's hand and pulled him back to face her, what she saw was a very flushed Natsu avoiding eye contact.
He whipped his face to the side so she couldn't see him.
